On October 20th 2017, SGRS employees, together with the representatives from Saint-Gobain R&D and Asia-Pacific Saint-Gobain business units, attended the event organized to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the R&D center in Shanghai.

Opened with a traditional Chinese dance demonstrating the contrast and connotation between the East and the West countries, the ceremony continued with speeches on the past 10 years¡¯ achievements and future expectations of SGRS. Speeches were given by Javier Gimeno, General Delegate and CEO of Asia Pacific; Armand Ajdari, Vice President R&D and Innovation; Alain Zanoli, Vice President SEFPRO ZIRPRO and SGRS first general manager; H¨¦l¨¨ne Grussaute, SGRS current general manager and Shuming Zhang, General Manager of Coated Abrasives Asia and TW/CP China, one of the first researchers of SGRS.

SGRS is part of the 8 Saint-Gobain cross-business R&D centers network and is now a world-class R&D center with nearly 200 research talents committed to develop innovative technologies, new products and technical support to all the Saint-Gobain businesses in Asia-Pacific region. Every year, around 12 new products or processes are launched and 20 new patents are filed.
